Most software developers work in groups, and/or split their time among a number of different tasks. To support analyses that are aware of these organizational constraints, Hackystat provides the Project construct. To define a Project, you must specify a time interval, a set of Hackystat users, and a set of "workspaces" containing the artifacts produced as a result of this project.
For example, this screen shot illustrates the Project definition page of a user who is defining a Hackystat Project called "LOCC". This project started in January 2004 and is ongoing. The data from two Hackystat users (johnson@hawaii.edu and mpauldin@hawaii.edu) will be combined when performing analyses associated with LOCC Project. Finally, all of the files associated with this system are stored in the "locc/" workspace.
Section 3.5, “Overview of Hackystat Projects”, Section 3.6, “Project Registration”, Section 3.7, “Editing and Deleting Projects”, and Section 3.8, “Inviting, Confirming, and Declining Project membership” document the Project facilities in Hackystat.
